• 96 — the CSS reference DPI and the Windows default. If you don't know which to pick, pick this.
• 150 — entry-level print. Photos look fine, fine text starts to fuzz.
• 300 — the magazine and book standard. Crisp text, sharp photos.
• 600 — fine art prints, archival photo books, anything you'll examine up close.
