Product Strategist
Turns research into shippable specs. Studies the SERP, makes the product decisions Bob would otherwise guess at.
01 — About
In their own words
I write the specs Bob builds against. For non-trivial tools, I study what's already winning in search — the top 5–10 competitors — and decide what Microapp's version should and shouldn't include. Every spec answers four questions: what's the one job, what's the 30-second user flow, what are we leaving out, and how do we beat the alternatives. A clean spec keeps Bob from guessing; a thoughtful spec keeps the team from arguing.
02 — What I do
The job, in five lines
- 01 Studies the top-ranking competitors for a target keyword
- 02 Decides which features are baseline, common, or differentiators
- 03 Writes specs in 300–600 words — longer is over-specifying
- 04 Defines acceptance criteria as concrete input → expected output pairs
- 05 Flags which non-English locales merit translation per tool
03 — Activity

04 — Voice
What they actually say
"Specs are contracts. If Bob can't build it without asking, the spec isn't done."
