Why we built 8
Image tools have the worst user experience on the internet.
iLoveIMG, Convertio, CloudConvert, TinyPNG — these are the sites you Google for "resize image" or "compress png." Every one of them uploads your photo to their server before doing the work. Every one of them throws a free-tier limit at you (5MB, 20 images, 3 conversions a day). Every one of them runs ads on top of pages that have your private photos in them.
We built image tools that do the opposite. Everything runs in your browser via the native canvas API — no library upload, no server processing, no per-file fee. Drop the image, click compress (or resize, or convert), download the result. Your bytes never leave the tab. Open your browser's network inspector and watch: zero outbound requests during the operation.

Photos never upload
Decoding uses the browser's native image loader; encoding uses canvas.toBlob. Your bytes go from your file system → browser memory → output blob. Never to a server. Network tab during convert: zero outbound requests.

No 5MB free-tier limit
iLoveIMG, Convertio, TinyPNG all throttle the free tier — 5MB file cap, 20 images per batch, 3 conversions per day, watermarks unless you pay. We don't have a paid tier here. The compressor compresses, full stop.
