MP4 to MP3

🔒 Your video never leaves this tab. The conversion runs on your device — no upload.

The MP4 to MP3 converter pulls the soundtrack out of a video and saves it as an MP3 you can play in any car stereo, phone, or podcast app. Most online converters make you upload the whole video first — often hundreds of megabytes — then wait in a queue. This one skips the upload. Your browser reads the MP4, decodes the audio, and encodes the MP3 on your own device, so the video never leaves the tab. Pick a quality, click Convert, and download a file named after your video. It handles files up to 4 GB and 3 hours long, and it also opens .m4v, .m4a, and most .mov files.

How to use

  1. 1

Drop your MP4 onto the box, or click it to pick a file. The tool reads the video's length and audio format in a second or two — nothing is uploaded.

  2. 2

Pick an MP3 quality. 192 kbps is the default and sounds great for music; 128 kbps makes a smaller file for talks and lectures; 320 kbps is the highest quality MP3 can hold. The estimated file size updates as you switch.

  3. 3

Click Convert to MP3. A progress bar shows how much of the video has been converted, and you can cancel at any point.

  4. 4

Click Download. The MP3 keeps your video's name — holiday-clip.mp4 becomes holiday-clip.mp3. Drop another file to convert the next one.
