Icebreaker Question Generator

Pick a setting and a depth. Get questions that actually open a conversation — not corporate-trainer scripts.

Pick the setting, pick how deep you want to go, hit Generate. You get 1-10 questions that sound like a real person asked them — not a corporate trainer's slide deck. Light is easy openers. Medium gets slightly personal. Deep invites a little vulnerability. Copy the one you like, or grab the whole list. Hit Regenerate for a fresh batch. The bank has 12+ questions per setting × depth, with slot fills so the same template reads a little differently each time.

How to use

  1. 1

Pick the setting from the first dropdown. Work Meeting, First Date, Team Building, Family Dinner, Stranger/Networking, Old Friends, or Get-to-Know-You. The bank changes with this choice — questions for a kickoff meeting are not the same as questions for a first date.

  2. 2

Pick a depth. Light is easy openers — soundtrack, weird Google search, favorite snack. Medium gets slightly personal — change of mind, a habit you picked up, a small skill you're proud of. Deep invites vulnerability — what shaped you, what you're working on in yourself, what you want known.

  3. 3

Choose how many questions you want (1-10). Five is a good number for a meeting; three for a dinner; one or two for a moment that needs the right opener.

  4. 4

Click Generate. If the batch isn't right, click Regenerate — fresh picks from the same bank.

  5. 5

Click Copy on the question you like, or Copy all to grab the full numbered list.
